Amy Veterinary Assistant

Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I feel fortunate to turn that lifelong love into a career in veterinary medicine. Growing up on a “hobby farm” where there were lots of animals, I was on a horse by the age of three, and my love for animals has never faded. Even today, one of my favourite parts of working in a veterinary clinic is getting to see the horses that come through our doors!

Although I never felt the calling to become a veterinarian, I always knew I wanted to help animals. That passion led me back to school to become a Veterinary Medical Assistant, where I could combine my love of animals with my desire to help both pets and the people who love them.

I love being part of a veterinary team and helping make visits to the clinic a positive experience for pets and their families. Whether it’s offering a little extra comfort to a nervous patient or helping clients feel at ease, I’m happy to be part of their pets’ care.

When I’m not at work loving on all the fur babies, you’ll find me at home with my two dogs: Tilly, my American Staffordshire Terrier, and Frankie, my English Bulldog. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and my two sons, usually hanging out in the garage and enjoying time together.
